Welcome to AI Mind Reader, an iOS and Android entertainment app developed by Storq Labs BV. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Important: AI Mind Reader is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect absolutely no personal data. All preferences and streak data are stored 100% locally on your device. We never see, store, or transmit any of your information.

2. Information We Collect

We collect absolutely NO personal data.

AI Mind Reader stores the following information locally on your device only using AsyncStorage:

User Preferences: Selected mode, vibe settings, and other app preferences
Streak Count: Your daily usage streak for gamification purposes

All data is stored exclusively on your device. We cannot access, view, or retrieve this information.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be absolutely clear about what we do NOT do:

We do NOT require user registration or accounts
We do NOT collect personal information (name, email, phone number)
We do NOT capture, store, or transmit any images or photos
We do NOT perform facial recognition or analysis
We do NOT collect biometric data of any kind
We do NOT use analytics or tracking services (currently)

4. Device Permissions

AI Mind Reader may request certain device permissions to create an immersive entertainment experience. Here is exactly how each permission is used:

Camera Permission

NO IMAGES, VIDEO FRAMES, OR FACE DATA ARE CAPTURED, STORED, OR TRANSMITTED

AI Mind Reader uses your device camera for display purposes only. The camera creates an immersive "scanning" experience where users point the camera at themselves or friends. The camera displays a live preview for entertainment effect only.

No photos, images, or video frames are ever captured
No images are stored on your device or transmitted anywhere
No facial recognition or face detection is performed
No emotion analysis or biometric processing occurs
All "mind reading" results are randomly generated and have no connection to what appears on the camera

Face Data Policy

WE COLLECT ZERO FACE DATA

AI Mind Reader does not collect, capture, store, or process any face data whatsoever. To be absolutely clear:

What face data do we collect? None. The camera is used solely for displaying a live preview on screen. No images or frames are captured or analyzed.
How is face data used? Not applicable. The app performs no face detection, facial recognition, or biometric analysis of any kind. The "mind reading" results are generated using a randomized text engine with pre-defined word banks. Results are completely independent of what appears on the camera.
Is face data shared with third parties? No face data is shared because no face data is collected. The app has zero network requests for face-related data.
How long is face data retained? Zero retention. No face data is captured or stored. The camera stream is displayed in real-time and immediately discarded. There is no retention period because there is nothing to retain.

Technical clarification: The camera feed is rendered directly to your screen and discarded frame by frame. No frame buffer, image cache, or temporary storage is used for the camera data. The app has no capability to save, analyze, or transmit any visual data from the camera.

Notifications Permission (Optional)

If you opt in, AI Mind Reader can send daily streak reminders to help you maintain your usage streak.

Notifications are completely optional
Used only for daily streak reminders if you enable them
You can disable notifications at any time in device settings
No notification data is collected or transmitted

Permission Denial: If you deny camera permission, the app will still function but the immersive scanning experience will be limited. Denying notification permission has no impact on core app functionality.

5. How the App Works

IMPORTANT: AI Mind Reader generates RANDOM results for entertainment purposes. The camera is used only to create an immersive experience, NOT to perform any actual mind reading, thought detection, or facial analysis.

AI Mind Reader operates entirely on your device:

All processing happens locally on your device
Results are randomly generated - the camera does not influence results
Preferences are stored in local device storage (AsyncStorage)
The app works completely offline
No data is ever sent to our servers or any third-party servers

6. Third-Party Services

AI Mind Reader currently uses minimal third-party services:

Expo/React Native: The framework used to build the app. No data is transmitted to Expo servers in production builds.

Future Services: We may integrate additional services in the future, including but not limited to analytics (Firebase/PostHog), crash reporting (Sentry), or advertising (AdMob). Any such changes will be reflected in an updated Privacy Policy.

The app is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Their respective privacy policies and terms of service apply to the download and installation process.

7. Data Storage and Deletion

All data is stored locally on your device:

Data persists until you delete the app
No server-side storage exists
No backups are made to developer-controlled servers
iCloud/Google backup behavior is controlled by your device settings

To delete all app data:

Simply uninstall the app from your device

There is no data stored on our servers to delete because we never collect any data in the first place.

8. Children's Privacy

AI Mind Reader is a general audience entertainment app suitable for users of all ages. Since we do not collect any personal information from anyone, there is no risk of collecting children's data.

We comply with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) by design - no personal data is collected from any user, regardless of age.

9. International Users

Since we do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data:

GDPR (EU): No personal data processing occurs. All data remains on your device under your control.
CCPA (California): We do not sell personal information because we do not collect any.

10. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We make no guarantee of continued service availability
Features may be added, changed, or removed at our sole discretion
We are under no obligation to maintain, update, or support the App
