4. How the Extension Works

Clarity Reader for Safari processes web pages entirely on your device:

  • When you activate the reader, it extracts article content from the current page using Mozilla's Readability.js library
  • All content extraction and rendering happens locally in your browser
  • No data is ever sent to our servers or any third-party servers
  • The extension only reads the content of the page you're currently viewing when you activate it

5. Third-Party Code

Clarity Reader for Safari uses the following open-source library:

  • Mozilla Readability.js (MIT License) - Used for extracting article content from web pages. This library runs entirely locally and does not transmit any data.

The extension is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple's privacy policy and terms of service apply to the download and installation process.

There is no data stored on our servers to delete because we never collect any data in the first place.
