Plain Language Summary
Your loan data stays on your device. Loan Calculator Simple stores your loan inputs (amount, rate, term) locally on your device only using AsyncStorage. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to our servers. The app does show ads via Google AdMob, which may collect device identifiers and ad interaction data per Google's policies. You can opt out of personalized ads via App Tracking Transparency.
1. Introduction and Data Controller
Welcome to Loan Calculator Simple ("the App"), a mobile loan amortization calculator developed by Storq Labs BV ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), a company registered in the Netherlands.
This Privacy Policy explains our data practices and your rights. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Important Note: All loan calculation data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to us. We do not process personal data in connection with the App's core loan calculation functionality.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Information Stored Locally on Your Device Only
The following data is entered by you and stored exclusively on your device via AsyncStorage. This data is never transmitted to Storq Labs servers:

We cannot access, view, retrieve, or recover any of the data listed above under any circumstances. This data exists only on your device.
2.2 Data We Do NOT Collect
We want to be absolutely clear about what we do NOT collect:
- No personal identification — No names, emails, or accounts
- No financial information — We never see your actual loan details, bank info, or credit score
- No location data — We do not request or use location
- No contacts or address book access
- No browsing history
- No account creation required
- No cloud sync or server-side storage
2.3 Data That May Be Collected by Third-Party SDKs
The Google Mobile Ads SDK integrated in this app may automatically collect device identifiers, IP address, ad interaction data, and other information as described in Section 4. This data collection is governed by Google's privacy policies, not ours.

4. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with the following third-party services:
Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob)
Purpose: Displaying banner and interstitial advertisements.
Data That May Be Collected: Device identifiers (IDFA with consent), IP address, ad interaction data, device information (model, OS version), and approximate location based on IP. Google may use this data for ad personalization if you have granted tracking permission via App Tracking Transparency.
Your Control: You may deny tracking permission when prompted. If denied, ads will still be shown but will not be personalized.

Apple SKAdNetwork
Purpose: Privacy-preserving ad attribution for measuring ad campaign effectiveness.
Data Handling: SKAdNetwork is Apple's privacy-focused framework that provides aggregated ad attribution data without revealing personal information. No personal data is collected through this mechanism.
Apple App Store (StoreKit / In-App Purchases)
Purpose: Processing the one-time "Remove Ads" in-app purchase ($1.99 USD).
Data Handling: All purchase transactions are processed entirely by Apple. We receive only a confirmation of purchase status (not payment information).

Expo Store Review
Purpose: Prompts for an App Store review after engagement thresholds are met. This uses Apple's native review prompt API and does not collect or transmit any data.
5. How Your Data Is Used
Data stored locally on your device is used exclusively for:
- Computing monthly payments, total interest, and total loan cost
- Generating amortization schedules with payment dates
- Persisting your last-entered loan inputs for session convenience
- Sharing loan summaries via the native share sheet (only when you explicitly choose to share)
- Providing locale-aware number formatting (decimal/grouping separators)
Data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share a loan summary via the system share sheet.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:
- Clear App Data: Delete the app or clear its data through your device settings
- Uninstall: Removing the app permanently deletes all locally stored data
Data Recovery: We cannot recover deleted data because we never had access to it. If you delete data or uninstall the app, it is permanently gone unless you have a device backup.
7. Your Rights Under GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Because your loan data is stored locally and not processed by us, you exercise these rights directly through the app:

- Right to Know: We do not collect personal information directly; Google AdMob may collect device-level data as described in Section 4
- Right to Delete: Delete data by uninstalling the app; for AdMob data, contact Google directly
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale: We do not sell personal information; deny App Tracking Transparency to limit ad personalization
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We do not discriminate against users who exercise their privacy rights
9. International Data Transfers
Your loan calculation data is stored locally and is never transferred internationally by us. However, Google AdMob may transfer data internationally per Google's data processing policies. Please refer to Google's privacy policy for details on international data transfers related to advertising.
10. Data Security
Your loan data is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. The security of your data depends on:
- Your device's security settings (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID)
- Your operating system's security features
- Physical security of your device
Security Disclaimer: While we have designed the app with privacy in mind (local-only storage), we cannot guarantee the absolute security of locally stored data. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device.
11. Children's Privacy
Loan Calculator Simple is a financial tool designed for use by adults evaluating loans (homebuyers, students, car buyers, etc.). This app is not directed at children and is not intended for use by individuals under 13 years of age.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us (via a third-party SDK), please contact us at privacy@storqlabs.com.

Accuracy Disclaimer
While the amortization formula used is standard, minor rounding differences may occur compared to lender calculations. Results are estimates only and should not be relied upon as exact figures for financial commitments.
13. Service Availability & Discontinuation
IMPORTANT: LOAN CALCULATOR SIMPLE MAY BE DISCONTINUED AT ANY TIME WITHOUT NOTICE. WE MAKE NO GUARANTEE OF CONTINUED AVAILABILITY.
By using this app, you acknowledge that:
- We may discontinue the App at any time without prior notice
- We make no guarantee of continued service availability
- All locally stored data will remain on your device but the app may become inaccessible
- No refunds will be provided upon discontinuation except where required by law
14. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting with an updated effective date. For significant changes, we may provide notice through the app or App Store update notes.
Your continued use of the app after any changes indicates acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
