ENTERTAINMENT APP NOTICE
LoveSignal is a novelty entertainment application designed purely for fun and amusement. The app does NOT actually detect romantic compatibility, emotions, or any real phenomenon. All results are randomly generated for entertainment purposes only.
1. Introduction
Welcome to LoveSignal, an iOS and Android entertainment app developed by Storq Labs BV. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
Important: LoveSignal is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect absolutely no personal data. All scan history and settings are stored 100% locally on your device. We never see, store, or transmit any of your information.
2. Information We Collect
We collect absolutely NO personal data.
LoveSignal stores the following information locally on your device only using AsyncStorage:
- Scan History: Previous scan results (randomly generated scores and interpretations)
- App Settings: Your preferences for haptics, sounds, etc.
All data is stored exclusively on your device. We cannot access, view, or retrieve this information.
3. Information We Do NOT Collect
We want to be absolutely clear about what we do NOT do:
- We do NOT require user registration or accounts
- We do NOT collect personal information (name, email, phone number)
- We do NOT use analytics or tracking services
- We do NOT display advertisements
- We do NOT share data with third parties
- We do NOT sync data to cloud servers
- We do NOT record or store any audio
- We do NOT capture or store any images or video
- We do NOT use cookies or web tracking
- We do NOT collect device identifiers for tracking purposes
- We do NOT store any data on external servers
4. Device Permissions & Sensor Usage
LoveSignal may request certain device permissions to create an immersive entertainment experience. Here is exactly how each permission is used:
Microphone Permission
NO AUDIO IS RECORDED, STORED, OR TRANSMITTED
LoveSignal requests microphone access to monitor ambient audio LEVELS only (volume/decibels) during scans. This creates a more immersive, interactive experience with visual feedback.
- Only the volume level (dB) is measured in real-time
- Audio level data is processed instantly and immediately discarded
- No audio recordings are ever made
- No audio data is stored or transmitted anywhere
- You can deny this permission and the app still works normally
Motion Sensors (Accelerometer/Gyroscope)
LoveSignal uses your device's motion sensors to detect movement during scans, making the experience feel more interactive.
- Motion data is processed in real-time only
- No motion data is ever stored or transmitted
- Used purely for visual/haptic feedback
Camera Permission (if applicable)
NO IMAGES OR VIDEO ARE CAPTURED, STORED, OR TRANSMITTED
If implemented, camera access would only be used to detect the presence of faces (count only) to enhance the scanning experience.
- No photos or video are ever taken
- No images are stored or transmitted
- Only face detection metadata is used in real-time
- You can deny this permission and the app still works normally
Other Permissions
- Haptic Feedback: Used for tactile confirmation during scans
- Photo Library Access: Only used when you explicitly choose to share a result card as an image
Permission Denial: If you deny any permission, the app will still function. Some interactive features may be reduced, but core functionality remains available.
5. How the App Works
IMPORTANT: LoveSignal generates RANDOM results for entertainment purposes. The sensors are used only to create an immersive experience, NOT to perform any actual detection or measurement of compatibility, emotions, or feelings.
LoveSignal operates entirely on your device:
- All processing happens locally on your device
- Results are randomly generated for entertainment
- Scan history is stored in local device storage (AsyncStorage)
- The app works completely offline
- No data is ever sent to our servers or any third-party servers
6. Third-Party Services
LoveSignal uses minimal third-party services:
- Expo/React Native: The framework used to build the app. No data is transmitted to Expo servers in production builds.
The app is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Their respective privacy policies and terms of service apply to the download and installation process.
7. Data Storage and Deletion
All data is stored locally on your device:
- Data persists until you delete the app
- No server-side storage exists
- No backups are made to developer-controlled servers
- iCloud/Google backup behavior is controlled by your device settings
To delete all app data:
- Use the "Reset History" option in app settings, or
- Simply uninstall the app from your device
There is no data stored on our servers to delete because we never collect any data in the first place.
8. Children's Privacy
LoveSignal is intended for users aged 13 and older. The app is not directed at children under 13. Since we do not collect any personal information from anyone, there is no risk of collecting children's data.
Parental guidance is suggested for younger users to ensure they understand the entertainment nature of the app.
9. International Users
Since we do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data:
- GDPR (EU): No personal data processing occurs. All data remains on your device under your control.
- CCPA (California): We do not sell personal information because we do not collect any.
10. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. IMPORTANT: THIS APP MAY BE DISCONTINUED AT ANY TIME WITHOUT NOTICE. WE MAKE NO GUARANTEE OF CONTINUED AVAILABILITY.
By using LoveSignal, you acknowledge and agree that:
- We may discontinue the App at any time without prior notice
- We make no guarantee of continued service availability
- Features may be added, changed, or removed at our sole discretion
- We are under no obligation to maintain, update, or support the App
- You should not rely on the continued availability of this App
