General Troubleshooting Steps
Before contacting support, please try these general troubleshooting steps:
Force Close and Reopen
On iPhone, swipe up from the bottom and swipe away the app. On Android, use the recent apps button. Then reopen Puzzle Journal.
Restart Your Device
A simple device restart can resolve many temporary issues.
Check for Updates
Make sure you have the latest version of the app from the App Store or Google Play.
Check OS Version
Ensure your device is running iOS 15+ or Android 10+. Go to Settings > About to check your version.
Reinstall the App (Last Resort)
If all else fails, uninstall and reinstall the app. Warning: This will delete your progress and streak.
What Support Cannot Help With
Please understand that we cannot:
- Provide hints or answers to puzzles
- Recover lost streaks (data is stored locally and not backed up)
- Restore progress after app reinstallation (no cloud sync exists)
- Update puzzle answers without releasing an app update
- Provide real-time chat or phone support
