Welcome to Still Here, a daily check-in safety app developed by Storq Labs BV ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

Still Here helps people living alone stay connected with their loved ones. Users check in daily by tapping a button, and if check-ins are missed for a configurable period (1-7 days), the app automatically alerts designated emergency contacts ("guardians").

Your Safety Matters: We collect only the data necessary to provide our service. We do not sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising purposes.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information to provide our service:

Account Information

  • Email address: Used for authentication (magic link login) and account identification

Check-in Data

  • Check-in history: Dates and times of your daily check-ins

Guardian Information

  • Emergency contact details: Name, relationship, email address, and phone number of your designated guardians

Settings and Preferences

  • Check-in reminder time
  • Grace period (1-7 days)
  • Timezone
  • Notification preferences
  • Device push notification tokens (for reminders)

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be clear about what we do NOT collect:

  • Location data or GPS information
  • Health data or biometric information
  • Payment information (the app is currently free)
  • Social media data or login credentials
  • Browsing history or app usage analytics
  • Contacts from your phone (beyond what you explicitly add)
  • Photos, messages, or other personal content

4. How We Use Your Information

  • Authentication: To verify your identity and secure your account via magic link login
  • Core Service: To track your daily check-ins and determine if alerts should be sent
  • Guardian Alerts: To send email and/or SMS notifications to your designated emergency contacts when you miss check-ins
  • Reminders: To send you push notifications reminding you to check in
  • Service Improvement: To maintain and improve the reliability of our service

5. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party service providers to operate Still Here. These services help us with:

  • Database and storage: Securely storing your account data, check-in history, and guardian information. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
  • Email delivery: Sending magic link authentication emails and guardian alert emails.
  • SMS delivery: Sending SMS alerts to guardians when you miss check-ins.
  • Hosting: Hosting our backend services and API.
  • Push notifications: Delivering push notifications to remind you to check in.

We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function. All our service providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data as follows:

  • Account data: Retained while your account is active
  • Check-in history: Retained for up to 90 days for service functionality
  • Guardian information: Retained while your account is active

When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of your data
  • Correction: Update or correct inaccurate data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Export: Request a portable copy of your data

  • We make no guarantee of continued service availability
  • Features may be added, changed, or removed at our sole discretion
  • We are under no obligation to maintain, update, or support the App
  • No refunds or compensation will be provided upon service discontinuation
  • You should NOT rely solely on this app for safety purposes
  • You waive any claims related to service discontinuation to the maximum extent permitted by law
