Welcome to Thermostat Game, an iOS and Android app developed by Storq Labs BV. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

2. Information We Collect

Thermostat Game stores the following information locally on your device only:

• Recorded Videos: Temporarily stored in app cache during gameplay
• Game State: Current game progress (not persisted between sessions)
• User Preferences: App settings stored locally via AsyncStorage

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be absolutely clear about what we do NOT do:

• We do NOT require user registration or accounts
• We do NOT collect personal information (name, email, phone number)
• We do NOT use analytics or tracking services
• We do NOT display advertisements
• We do NOT share data with third parties
• We do NOT sync data to cloud servers
• We do NOT upload your videos to any server
• We do NOT use facial recognition or biometric analysis
• We do NOT access your contacts or location
• We do NOT use cookies or web tracking
• We do NOT collect device identifiers for tracking purposes
• We do NOT store any data on external servers

4. Device Permissions

Thermostat Game requests the following device permissions:

• Camera: Used ONLY to record your performance videos within the app. Video is processed locally and never uploaded.
• Microphone: Used ONLY to capture audio during video recording. Audio is processed locally and never uploaded.
• Photo Library (iOS) / Storage (Android): Used ONLY when you explicitly choose to save or share an exported video with results overlay.

When permissions are requested: Camera and microphone access are requested when you tap the record button. Photo library/storage access is requested only when you tap save or share.

None of these permissions are used to collect, transmit, or store any personal data. You can deny these permissions, but the app will not be able to record or save videos.

5. How the App Works

Thermostat Game operates entirely on your device:

• Videos are recorded and stored temporarily in the app's cache
• Random numbers are generated locally on your device using standard algorithms
• Video processing and overlay rendering happen locally on your device
• When you choose to save or share, the video is exported to your device or shared via the system share sheet
• Temporary video files are automatically cleaned up when you close the app or start a new game
• The app works completely offline with no internet required
• No data is ever sent to our servers or any third-party servers

6. User-Generated Content

You create videos within the app during gameplay:

• Ownership: You retain full ownership of all videos you create
• Processing: We only process your videos locally to add the results overlay
• Sharing: You decide if and when to save or share videos - we never share automatically
• Responsibility: You are responsible for the content you create and share

7. Third-Party Services

Thermostat Game uses minimal third-party services, none of which collect user data:

• Expo/React Native: The framework used to build the app. No data is transmitted to Expo servers in production builds.
• expo-camera: Camera access only, no data collection
• expo-av: Video playback only, no data collection
• expo-media-library: Save to camera roll only, no data collection

The app is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Their respective privacy policies and terms of service apply to the download and installation process.

8. Data Storage and Deletion

All data is stored locally on your device:

• Temporary videos are stored in app cache and cleared automatically
• Saved videos are stored in your device's photo library/camera roll
• Game preferences persist until you delete the app
• No server-side storage exists
• No backups are made to developer-controlled servers
• iCloud/Google backup behavior is controlled by your device settings

To delete all app data:

• Simply uninstall the app from your device
• Clear app data/cache from your device settings to remove temporary files
• Videos saved to your camera roll must be deleted separately from your Photos app

There is no data stored on our servers to delete because we never collect any data in the first place.

9. Children's Privacy

Thermostat Game is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Since we do not collect any personal information from anyone, there is no risk of collecting children's data. However, we recommend that parents and guardians supervise their children's use of the app and any content they choose to share on social media platforms.

10. International Users

Since we do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data:

• GDPR (EU): No personal data processing occurs. All data remains on your device under your control.
• CCPA (California): We do not sell personal information because we do not collect any.
• COPPA (US): We do not collect data from any users, including children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We may change our data practices in the future, and any such changes will be reflected in an updated Privacy Policy.

12. Service Availability & Discontinuation

By using Thermostat Game, you acknowledge and agree that:

• We may discontinue the App at any time without prior notice
• We make no guarantee of continued service availability
• Features may be added, changed, or removed at our sole discretion
• We are under no obligation to maintain, update, or support the App
• You should not rely on the continued availability of this App
